Sometimes I get so caught up in listening to the same few songs that I forget the other great hits that an artist has. When I asked what your favorite Christina Aguilera song is, I was reminded of some of them!

I came across these old photos of Christina Aguilera from back in 1999 during rehearsals for some sort of show. It’s hard to believe these are ten years old already! She was 19 years old but she could have passed for 15 in these shots!

One look at these pictures and it’s no wonder that she’s as beautiful as she is now, she had a mighty fine start. And it seems like she always had that picture-perfect complexion.

It’s enough to make a woman jealous!

I love seeing video footage of Christina Aguilera as a kid, because it never fails to amaze me the way she was able to sing at such a young age. In this clip she was still just a wee thing, performing the song “Real Love” for the Mickey Mouse Club.

Isn’t she spectacular? It’s no big shock that she ended up being a major singing sensation!

I tried to avoid Facebook for awhile when it first became trendy but I became sucked in like everyone else and now I visit several times a day to keep in touch with friends and family. Celebrities have fan pages on there too though, and I discovered that there are several Facebook fan pages for Christina Aguilera as well.

This one appears to be most popular just based on the number of people who have joined on as fans. It contains links to videos, photo galleries, and is a place where fans can just chat it up. Some of the people seem to think that you can speak to Christina directly which is very unlikely to be the case - I think Christina is too busy with her new album and her family! - but it’s fun to write her a message anyway.

Since three people emailed me to thank me for the previous Christina Aguilera makeup tutorial, I thought it would be fun to post another one. It’s nice to dress yourself up like a celebrity once in awhile, and since it’s Saturday, maybe some of you can try it out and go out on the town with a Christina-inspired look!

For this week’s Friday Flashback I thought we’d go a little bit soft and listen to Christina Aguilera performing “I Turn to You”, which is such a great understated song.

I love it. It’s not my favorite of her songs, but really when it comes to Christina Aguilera and that voice there’s just no such thing as a bad one, you know?

I needed a bit of motivation to get moving today and one of my favorite ways to do that is to look for good Christina Aguilera remixes. Those usually have quite the way of getting your feet going and this one worked its magic well.

It’s the Christina Aguilera “Ain’t No Other Man” Mr. Bronkz remix and if you can sit still while it’s on then you’re a stronger person than me.

So who’s going to go first?

A little while ago, I wrote that there was speculation that Cher will join Christina Aguilera to co-star in her film Burlesque. It’s now official and Cher has indeed signed on for the role!

Cher’s character will be that of a former dancer who is struggling to keep business running in her neo-burlesque club. This is the same club where Christina Aguilera’s character arrives, seeking to make something of herself. Cher is actually going to sing and dance in the movie which is a first - despite having an epically successful singing career AND acting career, Cher has never actually combined the two before.

You know who else I would love to see join the cast in a supporting role? Dita Von Teese who has made quite the name for herself as a modern-day burlesque star too. That would totally complete casting for me!

On behalf of all my Aguilera Buff readers, I’d like to wish a happy Father’s Day to Jordan Bratman on this holiday Sunday!

We know that Christina Aguilera and Max Bratman were busy making a Father’s Day gift earlier in the week, so that’s one way they’ll be celebrating. Whatever else they do on this special day, I hope Jordan enjoys spending time with his family!
