Christina Aguilera helps Kelly Rutherford through a rough time

Even though it’s not through direct contact, it seems that Christina Aguilera is helping actress Kelly Rutherford through a rough time in her life. While divorce isn’t often amicable, Kelly is going through a particularly nasty divorce and even had to place a restraining order against her soon-to-be-ex-husband.

Ending a relationship can be hard, especially when you’re in the public eye so Kelly’s mom sent her Christina’s song “Fighter” to help prop her up, emotionally speaking. According to People.com, Kelly said:

“My mom’s been through it too. I mean, not in the way that I’m going through it, but she understands. She is hysterical. She sent me that Christina Aguilera song “Stronger” and that’s when I’m laughing and crying at the same time, like, ‘Mom, I love you!’ ”

She said “Stronger” but she clearly meant “Fighter”. It’s a common slip-up to mix up the song title. Either way, it’s definitely a great song to listen to when you’re romantically down and out.

I think it’s awesome that Christina Aguilera is indirectly helping someone with her song lyrics!
