Christina Aguilera on Var Misin? Yok Musun?: You Coulda Heard a Pin Drop! Part 2 of the Live Blogging!

As the show progressed, Christina Aguilera made a couple of bad choices!

First, she connected with a pregnant woman.  The woman, 5 1/2 months pregnant said that she thought her box contained a high number (a red box), but said it was up to Christina to choose.  Christina said she was choosing to go with her.  Doesn’t Christina know that pregnant women have great intuition sometimes?  Ooooh, 150K. Yikes!

The trend continued when she moved to the next contestant and chose 500K.  You could have heard a pin drop.  Not a word was spoken until Christina asked, “Does anyone ever cry on this show?” She then said, “It’s really quite depressing!”. She said that since it’s for the kids she doesn’t want to mess it up!

Her next box was better, and she chose a smaller number after she went back to her contestant adviser who steered he right earlier – and she opened the box with 40K. Not the worst for sure.

The banker called with a new number, and Christina said, “Ah…whatever”.  It’s a lower number.  The new offer is now 45k, down considerably.  And what did Christina say? “It’s just not big enough for my kids over there. Ask the question.”  No DEAL!

Oh, the pressure!

YAY!  Christina is going to sing again!  She’ll be singing Beautiful!!!!

What a wonderful performance!  Just Christina and the keyboardist…and the audience swaying back and forth. 

One audience member had a sign that said, “Little Girl, Big Voice”.  And after Christina finished singing the song, the whole audience in unison started singing the chorus!!!  How COOL!!

Now back to the game.

Wow, the host came out with a few gifts from Christina. The minister of culture gave her a beautiful necklace, and then something that looked like a record, and then a gift from the host Acun who gave Christina a traditional dress of the Sultans that is over 130 years old!  Wow, let’s hope we see a photo of that!

Acun said it was time to play the game and Christina said, “Can’t I just sing another song instead?”  HA HA!

Christina then asked contestant 22 and then she said she had a bad feeling about him.  Moving on to 19, who has been on the show for 8 months and has never been picked, so Christina decided to pick him.  His lucky night.  Drum Roll.  Not so bad…30k.  Ha, the host also said…”Not bad, not bad”.

Christina then asked Contestant 10 about her box and she said she’s not feeling lucky, but she hopes it’s a low number (blue). 

Christina then asked the audience “10 or 13”…and then the Robert DeNiro impersonator, Tony, said the custom is to count down from 10 when they choose number 10.  10 was about to open her box but wanted to make a deal with Christina.  She said, if it’s blue, will Christina please sing a little bit of Hurt for her?  Christina laughed!  They did the countdown and it was 25!!!!  A blue looooowww number!  So will Christina sing Hurt?  Will she?  Ooooh, she’s gonna sing it!  But she can’t remember the opening verse!  LOL…but then she did it!!! Acapella!!!!  WOW, CHRISTINA IS AMAZING!!!

Christina is afraid to pick the the Robert DeNiro impersonator Tony because he makes her nervous because his English is so good.

So instead, Christina went with contestant 13.  This contestant has been there for 10 months, the longest on the show, and when he saw Christina in the morning, he felt good about his box.  He took his time opening it…and….drum drum drum….50k.  Again, not terrible. Christina still has some really high numbers available.  She’s doing great!!

Time for the banker to call.  The offer is….historical…up, but not to much.  It’s 55k.  Still pretty low when she still has 4 high numbers on the board. “Ask me the question.  I’m ready”, Christina Said. “Yo Kun”. No Deal!

Oooh, Christina is picking 6.  That’s a bad number.  Oh, but not for Christina!  5!  That’s the lowest number left on the board!  Now there’s 50, and then 20k! Everything above that is a high number.

Christina has been using her yellow-shirt advisor and she said that he is the only one who steered her right.  He gave her advice, to pick number 3, but Christina went with 5. Dum Dum Dum Dum….." “The suspense is killing me” Christina said.  Ack!!! 200K!  Not good!  Christina has to pick one more before the banker!

Christina is scared of 22 and 14, so she went with 23.  “Open it up.  Yes.”  The contestant said it’s the most dangerous box! “Why,” Christina said.  She said she’ll take her chances.  Oh Boy Christina!  She said she’s a risk taker and her gut was right! 50!!!!!  Time for the banker! Her offer is sure to go wayyy up now!

Christina giggles a lot on this show.  So cute!

Good and bad news.  Good for the children, bad because the number is too high for the banker.  The new number is 95K!  Will Christina take it?  No way….she can’t!  She has too many high numbers up there still!  It’s all about math.  She has only one low number left, which is 20K.  Everything is is over 100K after that.  She has a 1 in 4 shot. 

Christina said, “As the question. I’m fearless now.  I’m going for it. Yo Kun”

Awww, Acun’s daughter is in the audience and is a huge fan and he wanted to know if Christina would give her a kiss.  Of course!!!  So she came out and Christina did and thanked her for being a fan.  So sweet!

Next up? Christina has to pick two boxes. Box 16.  Christina says she’s sure.  Drum roll?  Ohhhhh noooooo.  500K!!!! Slow down momma!!!!!

Long commercial break.  Whew.

Ok, we’re back to the show.  The host Acun warned Christina that she had to be careful.  He said it’s the most critical time.  She has three numbers left; 20k, 200k and 500k.  The host said it would be a miracle if she chooses 20k.  Christina asked each of the contestants about their boxes and after great consideration, Christina chose number 22, who said he always gets a red box.  But Christina is going with 22, even after he told her to ask the advice of the kids. Don’t be angry he says….ooooooh.  500K!!!!!!!  The HORROR!!!!!!!!  Can anyone breathe?  Christina said, “We still have a chance.  I’m thinking positive here.  I’m still thinking positive here.”  All she has left is 20k and 250K.  Oh, and now here comes the banker…..it’s gonna be low. Probably around 50K I bet.  Will Christina take it?

Acun said that the banker said he will think about a new offer if he hears a beautiful voice on the phone.  So Christina picks up the phone, for her kids, laughs, giggles, and says, “You gotta make me a good offer there, buddy….for my kids…you make him a good offer.  Make him a higher offer.” And then she handed the phone back.

Acun then said that the banker said to please tell her not to risk more, let it be a beautiful night for everyone and he offered her 180K!!!  Oh come on!  Christina has to take that!!!  LOL.  That’s a gift for the kids!  20k vs 250k?  Of course she’s gonna take it…right?  Right?  Right? 

Christina had to think about the offer, and Acun said it’s the highest offer…What will she say?  Christina said she thinks she knows what she needs to do…and to ask the question.  Acun asked, “Var Misin Yok Musun?” And Christina replied, “Var Mi!”  YAY!!!! Then she wiped her brow and said “Whew!”

Now for what’s in Christina’s box…Did Christina make a good deal or not? Her box, number 12, contained….wait, the Robert DeNiro impersonator, Tony, asked if he could come up and kiss her hand.  She of course said yes, and now he’ll be the envy of all his Turkish American friends in New York!

Back to the box…open it…open it…”Don’t be sad, it’s a good deal 180 thousand anyway”, ….20K!  Yeah!  Christina made a great deal!!!!  She was right about the DeNiro guy!  He was dangerous!  He had 250K!

Acun said thank you and Christina thanked everyone for having her here today, all her fans, she loves them so much, “thank you so much everyone, thank you for having me, I so enjoyed myself, thank you for all your advice, even though some of it wasn’t good, I knew you had a bad feeling about you, (Pointing to DeNiro), thank you for all your time and patience, I love you all.”

Then Acun gave her the traditional two kisses on the cheeks, the audience cheered, Christina bowed, and everyone said goodbye!

WHAT FUN!!!!

Seriously, that was a four hour show.  Seriously!
