There is no doubt that people want to hear Christina. People want to see Christina. Women want to emulate Christina. And women want to BE Christina!
But how does someone become a Superstar? For some, fame comes in the blink of an eye, sometimes overnight. But for others, it is a hard-fought path they embark upon where talent, perseverance, determination, dedication and even luck delivers the ultimate prize – Hollywood – and if they choose carefully, Superstardom.
Typically, people come from humble beginnings. Christina Aguilera is no exception. Christina grew up in a sometimes abusive household and was harassed by kids in school for their jealousies of Christina’s obvious and growing talent. But Christina pushed through. Christina had dreams and goals and she fought her way through pain and disappointment, overcoming the challenges set before her. And in the end, Christina came out a winner.
As Christina records her new CD and we wait for its release, let’s reflect on Christina’s life and when and how Christina Maria Aguilera rose from Mouseketeer to Pop Star to Hollywood celebrity to bona fide Superstar.
