Nicole Richie and Christina Aguilera’s babies fighting?

Aren’t babies Harlow and Max a tad too young to be fighting for the celebrity limelight?

Nicole Richie’s baby daughter Harlow is apparently feuding with Christina Aguilera’s baby Max after both were spotted at a charity event and didn’t say a single word to each other. Entertainment bloggers are speculating that the quarrel has to do with the fact that People magazine issues with Harlow on the cover sold more than the issues with Aguilera’s baby on the cover earlier this year.

“It was a tense situation,” said an insider who was at the Wildlife Preserve charity event in Beverly Hills over the weekend. “Both babies ended up being at the same table as Nicole and Christina chatted. But as for the babies, it was a whole different story. Neither one said a single word to each other. They didn’t articulate one word.”

The magazine reportedly paid $1.5 million for exclusive photos of Aguilera and baby Max, but readers weren’t inspired to pick the issue up.

“I think that devastated Max,” said the insider. “He may only be a baby, but that had to hurt especially if Harlow sold more. And Max’s silence speaks volumes.”

The timing could not be worse for Aguilera’s and Richie’s babies. Max has been recently criticized in the media for his temper tantrums and breaking down in tears during public outings. As for Harlow, there are rumors about an eating disorder which were reported in In Touch magazine.

“There have been two separate occasions where we witnessed Harlow spitting up right after being fed,” said the In Touch article. “I think that speaks for itself.”
