Like Britney Spears, this platinum songbird got her start sharing dance space with Justin Timberlake on The Mickey Mouse Club. Unlike Britney, Christina can really sing. The Grammy committee noticed and lauded her Best New Artist. Yes, “Genie in a Bottle” was that infectious. But the song that really catapulted this sorta-Mexican babe into serious pop territory was “Beautiful.” Yes, Christina, you are, even when you went Dirrty, though we like you better now, promoting your latest jazzy album and married–but not to a backup dancer. Oops, we did the comparing thing again.
