I have no idea how true this is but I’m crossing my fingers that it is – rumor has it that Christina Aguilera’s new single “Glam” will be released on February 9th! You may recall that “Glam” was said to be the first song that would be released off of her upcoming album “Bionic”.

I got the info from this site which is tentatively reporting that even radio stations have said they’ll be getting “Glam” for airplay on the 9th, and I’m really hoping that it will happen because I am going nuts wanting to hear something off “Bionic”!

I’m also starting to get curious as to the cover art for “Bionic”. I’m imagining something very futuristic to go with the sound Christina has described. Maybe a lot of shiny black and silver with Christina looking a bit sci-fi? I look forward to finding out!

Entertainment Tonight gave us a great behind-the-scenes glimpse of the set of Burlesque, including interviews with Christina Aguilera, Cher, Stanley Tucci, Kristen Bell, and Julianne Hough.

In the video many people said how amazing it is to be working with the legendary Cher but I also loved that Julianne said she was just as excited to be working with Christina because Christina was her idol when she was growing up. On the one hand it makes Christina sound old and Julianne sound really young, but that’s still pretty cool. As great as it probably is to work alongside your idol it must also be really nice for Christina to know that she’s also working with someone who has admired her for so long too.

This clip really made me want to see Burlesque even more!

Not only is Christina Aguilera involved in keeping the world from going hungry with the World Food Programme, she’s also helping to save the earth.

Christina has donated 2 VIP concert tickets to her 2010 tour – even though no official tour dates have been set so far. It will certainly be this year though, and people who would like to see Christina in concert for her Bionic tour while also helping our environment will have an opportunity to bid on them in April:

That’s exciting! As someone who is concerned about the state of our planet myself I’m very proud that Christina Aguilera is involved in this great environmental charity drive!

Christina Aguilera is back to work on Burlesque and was seen filming a scene in Los Angeles on February 1st. She shot a scene with Cam Gigandet (not pictured) then took a little coffee break.

Judging by the way Christina is laughing with someone while taking a break it seems like filming is a lot of fun and she’s clearly having a very good time.

Last night I watched the 2010 Grammy Awards and I enjoyed them well enough but I have to admit that I really missed seeing Christina Aguilera there. By the time the 2011 Grammys roll around we’ll have all heard Christina’s Bionic album and there will have been several singles so I can imagine that she’ll have some nominations and hopefully a performance.

Since we didn’t get to see her last night I thought we could all enjoy going back to this old performance Christina did at the Grammys when she sang “Beautiful”:

Well, here’s some bad news for fans – news broke that Christina Aguilera’s “Bionic” album has been delayed and will not be released on its original March date. Oh no!

The launch has been bumped and now “Bionic” will be released in April instead, as per the record label, RCA. Meanwhile her first single, “Glam” will hit airwaves in February. No details were given but I would guess that it has to do with her filming schedule for Burlesque; in the past Christina said she didn’t want to release her album while she was filming because she wanted to be able to devote the proper amount of time and attention to promoting it.

That seems like so long to wait since Christina Aguilera fans have been eagerly anticipating “Bionic” for quite some time now! Still, at least we’ll have the single to tide us over.

As I mentioned the other day, Christina Aguilera filmed a PSA with Muhammad Ali for Haiti, urging people to help out.

The PSA is part of UNICEF’s World Food Programme and is aiming to help resolve the hunger issues in Haiti in the aftermath of the January 12 earthquake. Christina explains that you can help fight hunger in Haiti by texting FRIENDS to 90999 which will automatically donate $5 on your behalf. You can also choose to visit From Hunger to Hope to donate.

I’m so proud that Christina is doing her part to raise funds for Haiti!

Remember the other day we got to hear a brief teaser clip of a Christina Aguilera song? We didn’t know many details about it, but here’s some great news. Christina’s newest song has been fully released!

The song is called “Spotlight” and it’s off the Burlesque soundtrack. There’s no word yet if it’s exclusively on the soundtrack or if it will be on Bionic as well.

“Spotlight” is super catchy and the beat makes me want to dance – what do you think?

Entertainment Tonight has given us a sneak peek at the new PSA that Christina Aguilera has filmed with Muhammad Ali.

The PSA is to help raise funds to fight hunger in Haiti. Christina and Muhammad request assistance to provide more much-needed relief to the survivors of Haiti’s devastating earthquake earlier this month.

Because Christina is the spokesperson for World Hunger Relief, it’s a topic that is especially important to her. She said:

“I’m devastated by the toll that the earthquake has taken, and as a mom, I am especially heartbroken by the children and families affected. My goal for the PSA is to inspire as many people as possible to donate to the World Food Programme so they can continue to feed the survivors in Haiti and move them from hunger to hope.”

ET will air Christina Aguilera and Muhammad Ali’s full PSA on Wednesday night (Jan. 27) and I’ll post it when it’s available!

In related news, numbers have started to come in from the Hope For Haiti Now telethon where Christina performed “Life Me Up”. As of the other day it had raised a record-breaking $57 million. More funds were still coming in through online donations and the figures had not yet counted the money being raise by iTunes purchases of the various performances.

There have been some postings around the internet today saying that a small clip of a new Christina Aguilera song will be on the soundtrack for Burlesque. It’s really short, under 20 seconds, but here it is:

Some people are also saying that it may be a song from Christina’s new album Bionic as well. I have no way of confirming one way or another – I don’t know if it’s from her movie, from her album, or both.

What I can tell you is that as short as the clip may be, it’s extremely catchy and has a great dance beat. I love what I’ve heard so far, and of course it still has that completely recognizable Christina voice!
